Tap Port Finished Canadian Rye Whisky is matured for up to eight years in a combination of traditional North American oak casks and casks that were previously used to mature port wine.

This Canadian rye is distilled “multiple times” in a pot still and then not only aged in port casks, but finished with a small amount of port wine before cold filtration. The distiller says this rye is a limited edition and will not be produced again once the initial run is sold out.
Tap Port Finished Canadian Rye Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Aroma of red fruits, berries and plums.
Palate: Notes of honey, milk chocolate, dates, figs and nougat that are balanced against a spicy backbone.
Finish: Gentle and slightly sweet, with a hint of citrus, ginger and rye.
Distillery Information
TAP is located in Kentucky. They import their Spirit from western Canada, and their maple syrup from eastern Canada.
