Inspiration for the spirit was of course taken from his many, many travels, he teamed up with the English Spirit Distillery. Sir Fiennes didn’t age the spirit in a barrel, oh no. He put the barrel in a still, sourcing wood from the locations of his favourite adventures, with Sequoia from Canada, Pine from Norway and Date Palm from Oman. It’s then cascaded through the wood, which gives the rum its golden colour.
