This is a medium-bodied rum from the Caribbean island of Trinidad. It is aged for 8 years in oak barrels that were previously used to age cognac, giving the rum a unique flavor profile. The aroma is of oak, molasses, dried fruit, and toasted coconut. The flavor is of sweet vanilla, caramel, and spices, followed by a slight smokiness. The finish is smooth and creamy with a hint of spice. This is an excellent rum for sipping or mixing into cocktails.
