This Cask Strength Straight Rye is crafted from a mash bill of 51% rye, 45% corn, 4% malted barley. Aged for two years and bottled at 123.4 proof, Roaming Man seeks to capture the essence of the spirit of exploration and tradition. In honor of the traditional heritage of whiskey distilling, this intriguing single malt has notes of rye spice, dried fruits, and sweet vanilla.

Nose: Dried fruit on the nose with notes of rye spice.
Palate: Sweet dried fruits, vanilla, subtle oak, just a touch of apple, and spice all the way through to the finish.

Distillery Information
Roughstock Distillery was created by Bryan Schultz in 2008, the first distillery in Montana in over 100 years. One thing history tells us is that a great whiskey starts with two things: amazing grain and pure water. Luckily Roughstock has plenty of right in Montana, rivaling the best of any place in the world. With beautiful grain grown throughout the state and the pure mountain snowmelt that fills the lakes, streams, rivers, and aquifers, it’s a no-brainer that Montana was meant for making whiskey.
