A 2009 vintage Fijian rum from the Plantation range, produced by the South Pacific distillery and bottled as part of the Plantation range. It was initially matured in bourbon casks for 7 years before being shipped over to France for a for a finishing period in Cognac casks for a further 2 years.

An intense, vintage rum from Fiji’s South Pacific Distillery, this is a blend of both pot- and column-distilled rums. Matured in ex-bourbon casks for seven years before a 2-year finish in French Château de Bonbonnet Cognac barrels, this is an intensely tropical rum with deep, dark-chocolate bitterness, rich baking spice and lashings of jammy fruit.
Plantation Fiji 2009 Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense, notes of prickly pear with a woody and almost oily aroma profile. on the second nose the aroma becomes fruitier and spicier with hints of banana, pecan, nutmeg and oak.
Palate: Rich and round, complements the nose with butterly vanilla and caramel, cocoa, spicy ginger ale and fruity notes of quince and coconut, a slight touch of hazelnut is also present.
Finish: A pleasing, very long finish.
Distillery Information
