The difference here, aside from geography, is that the whisky maker chooses to distill each grain type individually. They are aged anywhere from 6-10 years in various degrees of charred barrels (lightly charred for rye, medium char for barley, and heavy char for corn) before being blended together. Before bottling, however, the blend spends a final 6 months in ex-Sherry barrels.Forty Creek Barrel Select Canadian Whisky | 1.75L Tasting NotesNose: Features aromas of honey, vanilla and apricot fused with toasted oak, black walnut, and spice.Palate: Robust, complex, rich, and bold flavours of vanilla, honey, and cocoa with a toasted earthiness.Finish: Completed with a smooth, lingering and memorable finish.Distillery InformationForty Creek is a brand of Canadian whisky produced by the Italian beverage company Campari Group.
