It is a tequila cream made with patience, time and tradition, achieving a drink made in Pénjamo Guanajuato. Crystal-colored with bright flashes.
Quita Penas Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh Agave, Honey, Slight cooked agave and Honey dew melon.
Palate: Touch of salt up front, sort of a wetting the palate moment, followed by a blend of cooked and fresh agave punch, some melon notes round it out. Melon in the sense of that last bite of honey dew or cantaloupe next to the rind bitterness. Really refreshing and completely new to me in tequila.
Finish: Balanced, not astringent or overly oily/sweet. No alcohol burn. Lasting about 5-10 seconds before fading into a melon honey agave finish.
