A recent bottling from a historic brand, the original of which is based on the recipe for the official rum that was given as a tot to sailors in the British Navy. Pusser’s is traditionally dark and strong, however this version is a more standard 40% abv. A bargain for a rum of this age and provenance.
Pusser’s British Navy 15 Year Old Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Very full and fruity with espresso, marmalade, marzipan, crème de cacao, spice, vanilla cream, black pepper.
Palate: Full and very rounded with notes of syrupy spice and fruit, vanilla spice.
Finish: Very long and syrupy with dark spices.

Pusser’s Gunpowder Proof is a classic British Navy style rum, inspired by the recipe used to produce the tot given to sailors as their daily ration until Black Tot Day, 31 July 1970.
