A wonderful sherried single malt Irish whiskey, Hyde 6 Year Old No. 7 President’s Cask takes its name from Douglas Hyde, the first President of Ireland back in 1938. It’s distilled from Irish malted barley and spent its entire maturation in Oloroso sherry hogsheads, before bottling at 46% ABV.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.
Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.
Finish: Great elegance and length on the finish.

The HYDE Family have been aging fine Irish Whiskey for over twelve generations since 1640. The HYDE family pub at ‘Tinkers Cross’ just outside Bandon in West Cork was famous for the quality of its cask aged whiskey that it matured in a shed out the back of the HYDE family pub.
