Hussong’s Reposado Tequila is made in Jalisco from 100% blue weber agave. It is aged 5 months in oak barrels previously used for aging bourbon. Distilled twice, hand-bottled in clay jugs and cork-sealed, it carries the legacy of Juan Hussong’s handmade tequila from “The Cinderella of the Pacific,” the coastal city of Ensenada, Mexico.
Hussong’s MR Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: This tequila has an attractive straw-gold hue and shows aromas of roasted pepper, brined lemon, and a touch of oak.
Palate: The nose is somewhat subdued and most of the agave-inspired flavors disappear on the palate in favor a dominating oak sweetness.
Finish: A hint of heat shows in the finish but this is overall a pretty light and uninspired tequila notable mostly for its packaging and its namesake bars.
