First launched in 2004, Charbay Green Tea Vodka is made with a rare green tea from the Anhwei Province of China. It takes 120 days to extract the tea flavor for this vodka.

This flavored vodka took nearly 5 years to create. Miles sourced and extracted many (many!) varieties of tea to find the flavor profile that matched the vision. Rare first-growth green tea choosen from the Anhwei Province, a prime growing region along China’s fabled Silk Route. Marko Karakasevic distiller makes sure well-balanced flavors & a smooth mouthfeel while ensuring the perfect extraction technique.
Charbay Green Tea Vodka Tasting Notes
Nose: Powdered green tea with a sweetness reminiscent of green tea mochi.
Palate: Palate is soft and herbaceous.
Finish: Finish is earthy.
Distillery Information
Each winter, Marko Karakasevic, master distiller at Charbay Distillery, travels to Central California and selects organically grown, tree-ripened blood oranges at their peak maturity. The oranges are delivered to his distillery in St. Helena, California within three days and crushed — skins and all — by Marko (a 13th generation master distiller!) and his team.
