Rum Claro is aged for 100 months in oaken casks and then filtered in order to free it of its colour. This way, it is perfectly suitable for cocktails and long drinks.

The Dictador 100 Months Claro Rum is matured in ex-bourbon barrels for… well… 100 months. Following this, the Claro is filtered to remove its colour but not the flavour, resulting in a full-bodied rum suitable for use in cocktails where you wouldn’t want to alter the hue of your drink. Great for bartenders, home-bar enthusiasts or people who just simply enjoy great Colombian rum.
Dictador 100 Months Aged Claro Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Enjoyably musty, with notes of walnut and new leather. Lighter touches of fresh lemon and whipped cream.
Palate: Waxy orange and ripe apple. Sugared almond and brandied cherry – a bit amaretto-esque.
Finish: Peanut brittle, cassia, cardamom and brown sugar.

Destilería Colombiana, based in Colombia, has been distilling high quality Rum for more than a century. Only recently though, they’ve stepped away from blends and started developing their own private label – Dictador Rum.
