Rum: Ron Botran Añejo 15 Year Old Rsv
A Solera-matured Guatemalan rum from the Botran range. The Solera which this treat aged in was comprised of white oak and American whiskey casks which had previously been home to Port and Sherry. Superb over ice, and can make a big impression in cocktails too.

Proof: 80 (40% ABV)
Age: 15 Year

Distillery: Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala
A truly delicious bottling of Guatemalan rum from Botran. This company’s warehouses are located at high altitude in the mountains of Guatemala which allows them to age their spirit for longer than other rum producers, as the temperature is lower. This rum is produced from “virgin sugar cane honey”, and matured in a solera system containing several different cask types including Port, Sherry and Bourbon. This Solera system has been in action since 1893, and is a type of maturation often used in Sherry and brandy production.

Distillery Information
Situated over 1,000 feet above sea level in southwestern Guatemala, the Ron Botran Plantation enjoys generous amount of sunlight and mineral-rich, volcanic soils, making it ideal for the cultivation of fresh, raw sugar cane. There, expert farmers — many of whom have been tending to the land for decades — carefully analyze the sugar cane as it matures on the estate, harvesting only the canes that contain high levels of sucrose and fiber and low levels of impurities.
