The whiskey is said to be “soft and mellow”, with fruit flavours and “light, lingering spice and a rich, creamy mouthfeel”. Single pot still whiskeys are only produced in Ireland, at a single distillery that is double or triple distilled from a mix of malted and unmalted barley, and up to 5% of other grains.Kilbeggan Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Tasting Notes.Nose: Orange blossom, apricot and green apple. Touch of spice and almond.Palate: Grain again, with plenty of lemon and yogurt leading to a lot of salivation.
