Bardstown Collection Lux Row Distillers 2023 Release Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose Cherry syrup, caramel, a light woody note. There’s also a faint nuttiness to this. Might be mixing that up with the light woody note, but there is something that makes me think of almonds.
Palate There’s a slight sweetness of a blend of vanilla and cherry, and a young oak that pops at tail end of the flavor profile. This has a very soft mouthfeel.
Finish This has a fantastic finish! There’s a nice cherry vanilla that lingers accompanied by a charred oak and a slight leatheriness.
Distillery Information
The founders — Peter Loftin, David Mandell, Daniel Linde, and Garnett Black — began the Bardstown, Ky., operation with the idea of offering a “destination experience” for bourbon lovers and building a custom distilling program that now creates over 50 unique mash bills for more than 30 spirits brands in the industry.
